Gold Connection Jewelers is a mother-daughter trio owned jewelry store located in Richmond, Texas. The company was founded in 1994 by mom Jane and her two daughters Kim and Kerry. The business was founded on the premise that a family feeling and small town values would enhance the shopping experience of those celebrating a happy occasion—an occasion such as an engagement, an anniversary, a graduation, or just to say “I love you” to that special person.
Our Richmond Roots
Being a close-knit family business has worked out even better than we had originally hoped. It enables us to extend the warmth and feeling that comes from that directly to our customers. And we don’t to have work at it– it just comes naturally!
Richmond is a small town that is growing at rapid pace; nevertheless, it still has that small-town vibe. As a result, people appreciate family values and personal attention. It’s a very personal way of doing business and is the foundation of all we do.

Jewelry & Watch Repair
The Gold connection started in a 500 sq. foot log cabin and two years later outgrew the space and moved Next door to a 2500 sq. foot cottage. We wanted to stand out from all the cookie cutter type stores, wanted the exterior to reflect that small-town feel. The larger space has allowed Gold Connection Jewelers to spread out accommodate our beloved customers’ needs better.
We cherish visiting with our customers and find that many of them drop by just to say hello and to share some particularly good news about a family member or special friend or event. We take that as the supreme compliment and believe it validates our family-oriented way of doing business. In fact, in some way, each of our customers becomes part of our extended family.
Meet Our Family
Jane (mom and President) is the glue that holds us together. She also runs the business office.
Kimberly (oldest daughter, co-owner, and buyer for the store) says, “Jewelry is such a personal and lasting purchase for most people that it is important to put yourself in their shoes when helping them select an item. That’s what we do every day. We will go to almost any length to find just the right item for customers- whether it means having an item rushed in overnight from a supplier in California or coming up with a creative custom design.”
Kerry (youngest of the partners) specializes in custom jewelry design, where she’s gaining quite a reputation for her creative and unique designs. She is especially skilled at creating a unique one-of-a-kind design based on the look her client is seeking. In order to understand exactly what her client is looking for, Kerry first, she sits down with them so that she completely understands the client’s style. If the client has their own diamonds or other gemstones that they want to use, Kerry will closely examine them so that the client and she understands how these gemstones fit into the design. At the end of the process, Kerry says, “it makes me so happy to be able to create a memorable piece and to see the look on the client’s face when they see the finished piece.”
